Over 54,000 download Inkscape |

Just one week after the 0.44 release of Inkscape,it was distributed to over 54,100 users through the SourceForge download servers. The largest share was from the Windows users, who totalled nearly 38,000 downloads. The next highest number was from the Mac users with 9,115 downloads. The Unix/Linux users scored 7,104 downloads.
Inkscape is an open source vector graphics application. It produces both scalable vector graphics (svg) and encapsulated postscript (eps) files. Inkscape, is finding its way into workflow along side Adobe's Illustrator. It hasn't replaced Illustrator yet, but with Adobe's aquisition of Freehand, it's nice to see to see another capable solution in the marketplace. |
